Help Hub — how do I…?

Every page, every feature, plain-English answer. Made for Mike + Deb who already know Mitchell One.

📅 How do I see today's schedule?

Replaces Deb's paper appointment book (or works alongside it).
1
From the Mitchell-style shell, click 📅 Week Schedule in the Shop Floor section.
2
8:30 AM rows show drop-offs. Gold = VIP. Green = booked. Dashed grey = open.
3
Click any slot to see the full ticket. Click an open slot to book a new one.
Mitchell One equivalent: their "Schedule" view, just cleaner. Your paper calendar still rules — this is for when David asks "what's Wednesday?" without you flipping pages.

🔎 How do I find a customer?

Mike's wishlist — one box, four ways to search.
1
Top search bar in the shell, OR open Vehicle Lookup from the Customers section.
2
Type any of: phone number, plate, VIN (full or partial), customer name, vehicle make/model.
3
Results show customer info + every car + full service history.
Mitchell One equivalent: their Customer Lookup but with one unified box instead of separate tabs for phone/name/VIN.

⏱ How do I send the "we need more diag time" text?

The single biggest revenue recovery feature in the admin. ~$56k/yr.
1
When a tech is on a diagnostic, the timer starts automatically when they tap "Start Diag" on the ticket.
2
At 75% of the sold hour (e.g. 45 min if 1 hr sold), the system shows you a pre-drafted text in the Diag Tracker tab.
3
Read it, edit if needed, hit 📱 Send the text. Customer one-taps Y to approve.
4
Their approval is auto-logged to the Audit Trail with timestamp + dollar amount. Court-ready.
Mitchell One equivalent: Mitchell doesn't have this. The ticket just goes over and you eat it. This is NEW and the #1 reason to use the admin.

📞 How do I work the reactivation list when it's slow?

Your gut-feel "haven't seen them in 2 years" call, automated.
1
Open Reactivation List from the Customers section.
2
🔥 HOT section is top — these customers have the highest yes-rate.
3
Each row has a pre-drafted text in YOUR voice. Tap Text or Call.
4
Approve, send. Track at the top: today's calls/yeses/revenue.
Mitchell One equivalent: their "Inactive Customers" report shows the list, but ours adds the script + channel preference + household-dedup.

📄 How do I print an estimate or invoice on letterhead?

Mike's wish: "every doc on letterhead, every receipt printed."
1
Open Letterhead Print from Repair Orders.
2
Top buttons toggle: Estimate / Invoice / Warranty / Letter.
3
Hit 🖨️ Print this preview or Ctrl+P. Letterhead stays, sidebar drops away.
4
Your address, phone, MDC colors all automatic. The story format Deb is known for is the default.
Mitchell One equivalent: Mitchell's invoice is itemized (parts + labor lines). Ours is the STORY format Deb has won 4 court cases on. Both are valid — your call.

🔧 Mike — how do I teach the AI?

5 minutes a day, year-over-year, your brain becomes a forever asset.
1
Open Mike Teaches AI from Diag Tools.
2
5 ways to feed the brain: 🎤 Voice · ✍ Type · 📸 Photo · 📋 Mark a ticket "canonical fix" · 📤 Upload PDF/ATSG bulletin.
3
Easiest: voice. Tap mic, talk for 30 sec about a job. Transcribes + indexes.
4
Check the "Questions waiting for Mike's brain" queue weekly. Answer one, the AI handles the next 50 like it.
Mitchell One equivalent: nothing. Mitchell has static knowledge. This is your living brain. Compounds forever.

🛡 How do I handle a warranty claim (Deb)?

CarShield, Endurance, CARCHEX, AAA — Deb's daily reality.
1
Open Warranty Desk.
2
Click the claim → see all info, the carrier, the customer, office time logged.
3
Use 📋 Call carrier (templated) for the pre-written script.
4
Tap ⏱ Log time when you start/stop. Profitability bar shows which carriers waste your time vs pay well.
5
If carrier pays less than your office time cost, pre-bill the customer for the gap (templated letter ready).
Mitchell One equivalent: Mitchell has warranty claim entry but no profitability view. Ours shows which carriers are worth your time.

📒 Deb — how do I do my daily checkbook reconcile?

3 minutes instead of 30.
1
Open Daily Checkbook from Money.
2
Today's revenue split shows automatically: labor (no tax), parts (tax owed), shop supplies, waste.
3
Tax escrow column shows what auto-moved to your tax savings account Sunday night.
4
30-day cashflow chart at bottom. Calendar shows upcoming sales tax / payroll / federal due dates.
5
Hit 📑 PDF for accountant when you want to send it.
Mitchell One equivalent: Mitchell doesn't do this. This is the financial layer that takes Mitchell's data and prepares it for your accountant.

📞 How do I run the GTECH affiliate call?

15-minute call = ~$10k/yr from a tool you already own.
1
Open GTECH Pitch from Marketing.
2
Read the phone script (or hit 🔊 to hear it aloud).
3
Call GTECH (or have your team call). Pitch the affiliate deal.
4
After the call, hit 📋 Copy email to clipboard, paste into Gmail to send the follow-up.
5
Day 3, 7, 14, 21, 30 follow-up sequence built in.
Mitchell One equivalent: nothing. Mitchell isn't about sponsorships. This is pure new revenue.

📝 How do I tell Papa what's broken / what I hate?

Papa's rule: "I only want complaints. Compliments don't help."
1
Open Papa's Complaints Log (red border tile, or in the nav under Feedback).
2
Type the complaint OR hit 🎤 mic and speak it. Tag the page it's about. Pick a priority.
3
Save. Complaints persist in your browser even if you close the page.
4
When done, hit 📋 Copy all complaints to clipboard. Text or email to Papa.
📌 Don't see what you need? Type it in the search box up top. Or open the 7-step tour. Or use the ❓ Help button at the top of the Mitchell-style shell — it shows context-specific help for whichever page you're on.
