What we collect (plain English)
- Your contact info — name, phone, email, address — so we can reach you about your vehicle.
- Your vehicle info — year, make, model, VIN, mileage, plate — so we can service it correctly.
- Service history — what we did, when, what it cost — for warranty and reference.
- Payment info — handled by Stripe / your card processor, NOT stored on our servers in full. We see only the last 4 digits.
- Text/email content — what you sent us, what we sent you — kept as a record for warranty and dispute protection.
- Photos of your car — taken in the bay for our records (helps next time something goes wrong).
What we DON'T do with your info
- ❌ We do NOT sell your data. Not to marketers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- ❌ We do NOT track you across other websites. No Facebook pixels, no ad retargeting (unless you opt in).
- ❌ We do NOT share your info with extended warranty companies unless YOU ask us to file a claim.
- ❌ We do NOT send promotional spam. Only service reminders + your own appointment confirmations.
Who sees your info inside MDC
Mike Cole (owner), Deb Cole (office), David (service writer), and the tech assigned to your vehicle. That's it. Our website maintenance partner (Michael Murphy / SpiraOS) has access for system upkeep but is bound by the same rules.
Your rights
- 📋 You can request a copy of all info we have on you
- ❌ You can request deletion of your info (we'll keep tax-required records like invoices but anonymize them)
- 📵 You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP
- 📧 You can opt out of emails by replying UNSUBSCRIBE

Mike-AI & the chatbot
When you chat with Mike-AI, your messages are logged so we can improve the responses and so Mike can review them. Your messages are NOT shared outside MDC. The AI does not retain your personal identity in its model — only patterns of common questions.
Updates to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we'll email and text every customer with active service in the last 12 months. The change goes into effect 30 days after notice unless you opt out by replying.
